Even with the crisis in Japan, nuclear energy is one of the safest, cleanest, most reliable and economical sources of electric power, with no carbon emmissions (a major cause of global climate change.)

Demand for energy in the US is expected to increase by 45% by 2030.

As that demand continues to grow, the demand for additional nuclear power grows – but first our nation must address the current spent fuel rods piling up at over 75 power plants.

France, China, and Britain all safely reporcess their nuclear spent fuel from power plants. President Carter signed an executive order banning reprocessing, which put the US decades behind in this research. President Bush lifted the ban and we now are researching reprocessing options at universities around the country, including UNLV and Nevada.
